Lower School ERB Testing

Jo Giesecke
Dear LS Parents, Students in grades one through five will be taking the E.R.B. test (Educational Records Bureau) beginning April 24. This standardized test is administered annually throughout Saint Edward’s School.

Testing takes place during the morning beginning promptly at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and the following Monday (April 24, 25, 26 and 29). Please take a few minutes to plan ahead for this event by remembering the following:
  1. Be sure your child gets plenty of sleep and eats a good breakfast before coming to school.
  2. Testing begins promptly at 8:15 a.m. daily. Please make sure your child is in school on time. Children who are late will not be admitted to class until the testing session is complete.
  3. Please make sure your child has two number 2 pencils sharpened and ready for testing.
  4. Added encouraging words with extra hugs are always good ways to start the day.?
  5. Please do not send your child to school if he/she is ill.
The E.R.B. is not an IQ test and it is not used to determine promotion. We give the test in a relaxed atmosphere while encouraging the children to do their best. Please let me know if you have any questions about the E.R.B. Thank you for your continued support. - LS
