Athletes for the Month of September

Our Athletes of the Month for September are sophomore Alexa Soderman, juniors Sarah Wolf and Brennan Wolfe, and senior Mac Carnell. Please click on the headline above to read more about each player.


Sophomore Alexa Soderman has been a member of the varsity volleyball team for two years. Her key stats for the season thus far include 172 kills, 19 blocks, 71 digs, and 61 aces.

This is junior Sarah Wolf's first year as a member of the varsity cross country team. A hard-working athlete, she began the year with a 25:06 at the Astronaut Invitational and followed with a strong and consistent performance at the next two meets. She ran a personal best of 23:58 at the Viera Fall Classic. 

This is junior Brennan Wolfe's first year as a member of the varsity football team, and he is quarterback and receiver as well as defensive back and kick return specialist. In September, he has been the team’s Offensive Player of the Week twice, and he is an All Treasure Coast Area nominee for offensive utility athlete. Brennan currently leads the team in total offense amassing over 700 all-purpose yards and 9 touchdowns in 4 games and also leads the team in pass break-ups. A solid contributor in offense, defense and special teams, his effort and performance inspire and elevate the level of play of all those around him. 
 
This is senior Mac Carnell's first year as a member of the varsity cross country team. Demonstrating a true knack for running, he has solidified his spot among the top runners on the team. He began the season with a 21:10 at the Astronaut Invitational, followed by a strong performance at the John Carroll dual meet with a time of 21:11. He posted a season-best 19:52 at the Viera Fall Classic. His progression has greatly aided the Pirates and will help the boys compete at the district level and beyond.
