Heartwarming Story of the Week: Treasure Cay Schools

MJ
Mr. Baker learned that the School was going to be getting rid of desks and bouncy seats that were no longer useful to our students. He hoped that they could somehow be used rather than sent to recycling. We reached out to Pirate dad Rip Pratt, who was aware that schools were set to open on Treasure Cay imminently, despite sorely lacking supplies. He also knew that there is a barge set to leave for Treasure this Monday. Our maintenance team, despite having a full day on the calendar, jumped to action and began loading a trailer. Another Pirate dad, Josh Naughtin, learned about the plan, and he also stopped everything to provide a second trailer and transportation to the shipping container in Ft. Pierce. As a result of this remarkable teamwork and communication, students in Treasure Cay will have over 70 classroom desks to empower them to start back to work with the basics of what they need to be successful.

There are always days to be a proud Pirate, but today's effort is both heartwarming and remarkable. Thank you to William Stribling, Jorge Rodriguez and the entire maintenance team for jumping into action. This is truly how #sesconnects.
