Looking for a Good Book?

With lives in quarantine, students say they have been reading a lot more. Here are some of their favorite new reads! 7th graders Grace Griffeth, Ray Taft, and Jessie Liddell recommend The Neptune Project, Metro 2033, and Turtles All the Way Down.

Molly Rummel comments “I love The Miraculous Journey of Coyote Sunrise. It is about a girl that lost her mother and sisters in a horrible accident. She learns that a memory box that she, her mom, and sisters buried in a park will be lost when the park is demolished. Her father is too pained to return home, so she secretly formulates a plan to make it home to get the memory box. On her journey, she meets many new people and makes new friends.”

Conor Powell recommends “"The Sun is Also a Star" by Nicola Yoon. It's a romance book about a Korean boy named Daniel Bae and a Jamaican girl named Natasha Kingsley. They met each other, went for a walk, and fell for each other, all on the same day. However, they can't stay with each other for long because Natasha and her family are going to be deported out of the U.S and into Jamaica the next day.
