Thrilling Start to 7th/8th Grade Volleyball Season
The seventh- and eighth-grade volleyball team began their season on 9/17/20 facing Morningside Academy in the Watchter Activities Center. With a thrilling back and forth in the second set, the Lady Pirates ultimately grounded the Lady Eagles: 25-13, 25-19.
Aerin Russell's underhand serves for 7 points in a row helped get the game off to a great start for the Lady Pirate team. The entire team showed a great display of communication on the court throughout the game, which resulted in very few unforced errors. The Lady Pirates used their 3 touches often, with several hits becoming winners and thus leading to an opening season victory.
