Varsity Cross Country Advances to Regionals
On 10/29/20, the varsity cross country team traveled to The Pine School in Hobe Sound to compete in the Class 1A District 13 tournament. The boys and girls cross country teams had outstanding showings in the district races, leading to both teams advancing to the Regional tournament.
The Lady Pirate team finished 2nd place overall and were led on the course by sixth grader Leah Chin, who recorded a remarkable 4th place overall finish. Following closely behind were Ellie MacMullan (5th place), Luna Rivera (7th), Savanna Ware (13th), and Riley Kesterson (18th).
For the Pirates, the team achieved 3rd overall place. In 9th place, Sam Thomas led the Pirates in the race, followed closely by William Munz (10th place). Also helping their team reach victory were Jack Eidemueller (13th place), Oscar Lindenthal (19th), and Ben Evans (26th).

The next meet is the Class 1A Region 4 tournament on 11/7/20 at South Fork High School in Stuart, starting at 8:30 AM.
