8th Grade end of Semester Assessment and Activity Schedule for 8th grade

The week of December 14th is designated for end of semester assessments and activities for 8th-grade students. (Grades 6 and 7 do not take major assessments at the end of the first semester and will follow a normal schedule that week.)

The math and science assessments will be cumulative of lessons learned over the entire first semester and will be a more traditional exam.

English, History, and World Language will be non-cumulative assessments and/or activities and may be presented in a more non-tradiitonal format.

All assessments will begin at 8:00 am on the designated day and are designed to take approximately 90 minutes. However, students may take as much time as they need. Students are expected to leave campus immediately after they have completed their assessment.

The schedule is as follows:

Monday (12/14)-Math
Tuesday (12/15)-English
Wednesday (12/16)-Science
Thursday (12/17)-History
Friday (12/18)-World Language

For students who take two languages, both languages will share the time on Friday. There will be no additional "conflict" period.

There is no mid-day bus for 8th grade students Monday-Thursday, December 14-17. Students will need to find a ride home when they are finished with their assessment/activity. There is a noon bus scheduled on Friday as it is a school-wide noon dismissal, but 8th grade students should be off-campus before then, if possible.
