Varsity Girls Cross Country Heading to States

The varsity cross country team traveled to South Fork High School in Stuart on 11/7/20 for the Class 1A Region 4 tournament.

The boys cross country team, competing in their third consecutive regional meet, finished 7th place out of 12 teams, with many runners posting their best times of the season. Leading the way for the Pirates was William Munz in 21st place with a personal best of 19:33. Rounding out the top five for the Pirates were Sam Thomas in 27th place (20:03), Jack Eidemueller in 42nd (20:55), Oscar Lindenthal in 45th (21:07) and Ben Evans in 51st (21:25). 
 
The Lady Pirates cross country team captured second place in the Regional meet, recording the highest placed overall Regionals finish for the girls team in Saint Edward's School history. The Lady Pirates have earned a spot in the State Championship meet for the second consecutive season. Leading the way for the girls on the course was Luna Rivera in 14th place (23:24), Ellie MacMullan in 19th (24:02), and Leah Chin in 20th (24:17). Completing the top five runners list for the team are Sienna Mallon in 26th place (24:46) and Savanna Ware in 29th (24:53). Following close behind the top five were Riley Kesterson in 50th place (26:26) and Dhanika Perez in 51st (26:39).

Next meet is the Class 1A State Championship on 11/15/20 at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, starting at 7:30 AM.
