Riveting Comeback for Varsity Boys Soccer Results in Regional Title

On 2/23/21, Saint Edward's School competed at home against Foundation Academy in the Class 2A Region 2 Championship. Although the Pirates found themselves down 0-2 at halftime, the team rallied and reenergized after a successful goal by Aidan Burdick put the Pirates on the scoreboard. The Pirates went on to score 5 more goals, only allowing 2 additional goals to be scored by the Lions. The Pirate team was ultimately crowned Region 2 champs, thanks to their 6-4 comeback. For the first time in school history, the boys team will advance to the Class 2A State Semifinals for soccer.

Reed Sternberg led the way for the Pirates with 3 goals, followed by Aidan Burdick with 2 and Ian Horvit with 1. Drew Sternberg added 3 assists as well.
