7th/8th Grade Boys Lacrosse Face Overtime Heartbreaker in Hobe Sound

The 7th/8th grade middle school boys lacrosse team played their best game of the season on 3/24/21 against The Pine School in Hobe Sound. The Pirates came from behind to even the game at 2-2 at the half. With only 4 minutes left on the clock, they came from behind again to even the game to 3-3. After a number of last-minute shots by both teams, the game ended in a tie and went in sudden-death overtime. The Pirates narrowly lost to the Knights 4-3 in overtime. The team record is now 9-3.

Leading the Pirates on the defensive end was Mark Moore, who played with grit on the field. Beckley Waldrop scored two goals for the Pirate team, and Ray Taft made a number of critical saves in the goal.
