Varsity Football Stuns Warriors

The varsity football team played their Senior Night match-up on 9/17/21 on the Michael J. Mersky Field versus Eagle's View Academy from Jacksonville. Battling back from a 12 point deficit, the Pirates rallied on the field to overthrow the Warriors and win 13-12.

After giving up 12 points early in the game, the entire Pirate defensive unit bounced back and shut out the Warriors in the second half. Josh Langsam led the Pirate defense with 17 solo tackles. Connor Wolfe and Sam Thomas both recorded key interceptions in the game as well that helped keep the Warriors at bay.

On offense, Dylan Redmon led a passing attack that put the Pirates in position to mount their comeback, with Oscar Lindenthal and Riker Pratt each collecting a receiving touchdown. Pratt's receiving touchdown tied the game with 6 minutes left on the clock. Marlon Dato-Slattery nailed the extra point to secure the Pirate's impending victory.

Next game is away on 9/24/21 versus Cedar Creek Christian School, which will be held at the School of Success Academy in Jacksonville at 6:00 PM.
