Habitat for Humanity Home One Day Closer to Completion

(lk)
Ten upper school students and Father Barrett worked at Habitat for Humanity this past Saturday alongside the Habitat home buyers, other volunteers and construction supervisors.  The team put on two coats of Ocean Mist blue paint and had a lot of fun doing outreach in southwest Vero Beach. This is the sixth Saturday this school year that SES students have taken time to put in "sweat equity" to help Habitat home buyers move toward home ownership. The workdays begin at 7:30 a.m. and finish by noon, and in addition to being a rewarding way to spend the morning, the time spent onsite contributes to the students' goal of earning 100 hours of community service in order to graduate.  Please contact Father John Barrett if you are interested in participating in the final two building dates of the year, at this point scheduled on March 26 and April 16.  Students must be sixteen years or older.
