Harrison Reicher Rides West
Sophomore Harrison Reicher shared some exciting news from the polo fields.
The NYTS (National Youth Tournament Series) is the biggest tournament in the country for polo players under 19. Every year there are qualifier rounds, where if you play in one of those matches, and play very well, you have the chance of getting selected to play in the finals. Back in April, I played very well in one of the qualifiers, and this was the first time I had ever qualified, so I was super excited. Fast forward four months, I received an email saying I had been selected with the qualifiers to play in the championship finals, all the way in California. They only selected 16 kids in the country to be selected for California, and I was one of them. I was selected onto the “South Eastern” Team and we made it all the way to the finals! Unfortunately we lost in the finals, but this tournament and experience were one of the best few days of my life. I had so much fun playing against some of the best kids in the nation. I hope I qualify again and then get selected to go back to the championships next year.
