MS Boys Basketball's Navy Team Sinks Win in Rematch Over Saint Anastasia
The navy team for middle school boys basketball was looking to avenge one of their early season losses with a rematch against Saint Anastasia Catholic School at home in the Wachter Activities Center on 1/17/23. Relying on up-temp play and suffocating defense, the Pirates held their opponents to 7 points through 3 quarters of play. The Pirates went on to defeat the Rams 24-17 to improve to 8-2 for the season.
Cyprian McIntosh had a break-out performance, sinking 3 goals from the floor and knocking down 2 free throws to accumulate 8 points. Kayleb Redmon also tallied 8 points for the Pirates, and Jackson Parker added 6. Covington Kennedy netted 2 points from the field and contributed several assists.
