Varsity Cross Country Hosts SES Invite
The varsity boys and girls cross country teams kicked off their season by hosting the SES Invitational at the Indian River Fairgrounds in Vero Beach on 9/2/23.
The varsity boys team competed in a field of over 200 runners, and freshman Jack Curley paced the Pirates with a time of 20:08. Following closely behind and setting a personal best time in this first race of the season was sophomore Thomas Leonard with a 20:11.
The varsity girls team was led by senior Carrington Brown, who placed 10th overall with her finish time of 21:50. Eighth grader Jacquelyn Perrin and senior Elizabeth Campbell also made great strides as they battled it out on the course in a field of 140 runners.
