Varsity Swimming Heads to Florida Christian School Invite for 1st Meet of Season

The varsity swimming team traveled to Fort Lauderdale on 9/9/23 to take part in their first meet of the season at the Florida Christian School Invitational, held by Westminster Academy. Overall the boys team placed 6th and the girls team placed 7th.

Individual results for varsity boys swimming: Jozef Wolek, 5th place - 200 Yard Individual Medley (2:40.45), 8th place - 100 Yard Breaststroke (1:16.97); Alexander Wolek, 6th place - 100 Yard Backstroke (1:18.56); 12th place - 100 Yard Freestyle (1:00.89); Matthew Burris, 9th place - 200 Yard Freestyle (2:27.68), 9th place - 100 Yard Freestyle (1:00.27); Jay Leibik, 9th place - 50 Yard Freestyle (25.35), 10th place - 100 Yard Freestyle (1:00.30); Brody Krieger, 25th place - 50 Yard Freestyle (31.41), 34th place - 100 Yard Freestyle (1:20.73); Luke Cozad, 15th place - 100 Yard Breaststroke (1:28.66), 31st place - 50 Yard Freestyle (33.84).

Individual results for varsity girls swimming:  Alexandra Stern, 2nd place - 200 Yard Individual Medley (2:14.28), 2nd place - 100 Yard Backstroke (1:03.24); Sophia Cetrulo, 9th place - 100 Yard Breaststroke (1:33.08),14th place - 50 Yard Freestyle (36.03).

Team results for varsity boys swimming: 4th place in 200 Yard Freestyle Relay (1:53.53) - BurrisLeibik,  A. WolekJ. Wolek; 7th place in 200 Yard Medley Relay (2:04:47) - BurrisLeibik,  A. WolekJ. Wolek.
 
Next meet is away on 9/21/23 versus Calvary Chapel Academy, starting at 4:45 PM at the Eddie Lee Taylor, Sr. Pool in Melbourne.
