Varsity Football Shuts Down Bulldogs
On 9/8/23, the varsity football team traveled to West Palm Beach to take on Berean Christian School. The Pirates stopped the Bulldogs on the field to claim a 35-0 victory.
Nate Sparkman threw 3 touchdown passes for the Pirates, and Jaden Jackson rushed for 2 touchdowns. On the receiving end of Sparkman's touchdown passes were teammates Connor O'Brien, Sean Stalheber, and Nicky Colontrelle. Kicker Marlon Dato-Slattery went 5 for 5 with extra points and had 4 touchbacks on kickoffs.
The Pirate defense continued to force turnovers with 1 fumble recovery and 4 interceptions. Cameron Barnes, Stalheber, Jacob Arbelaez, and O'Brien all recorded an interception. Patrick MacMullan recorded 2 sacks and Carson Yates forced the fumble.
