MS Girls Volleyball's Grey Team Holds Back Patriots
On 9/14/23, middle school volleyball's grey team took on Master's Academy of Vero in the Wachter Activities Center. The Pirates secured victory on their home court over the Patriots in 2 well-played sets: 25-13, 25-18.
Ava Powers led the serving effort for the Pirates, stealing a total of 8 points and 4 aces from the Patriot team. Anastasia Headley scored 6 aces; and Cami Colontrelle, Sarabeth Peshke, and Reagan Miner all contributed aces to the win, with teammate Sloane Weber sealing the win with an ace as well. Strong setting from Bella Fontana and Alice Cochrane, with 4 and 3 assists respectively, fed the Pirate hitters at the net. Helena Jefferson led the net attack with 6 kills, along with kills from Sophie Cooper, Maria Victoria Wilkinson Perilla, Headley, Miner, and Fontana.
