Varsity Volleyball Soars Over Eagles
The varsity volleyball team hosted the Calvary Chapel Academy Eagles on 9/15/23 in the Gonzalez-Lobo Activities Center. The Pirates took down the Eagles in 3 sets: 25-17, 25-7, 25-20.
Elliotte Kahler amassed 2 kills, 26 assists, 4 aces, and 8 digs in the successful night for the Pirates, and Meagan Baker recorded 6 kills, 2 aces, and 5 digs. Makena Rodriguez, who served up 3 aces, led the team in kills with 12 and digs with 23. CJ Fykes tallied 8 kills, 1 assist, 2 aces, and 15 digs; and teammate Natalee Rogers brought 6 kills, 2 aces, and 5 digs toward the victory. Sommer Soderman racked up 1 kill and 12 digs for the Pirate team. Also contributing to the win were Alice Crean with 2 kills and 1 dig and Gaby Collazo with 1 kill.
