Varsity Volleyball Serves Up Win Over Panthers
On 9/27/23, the varsity volleyball team traveled to Palm Bay to take on Heritage High School. The Pirates dominated all 3 sets to claim victory over the Panthers: 25-20, 25-17, 25-18.
Proving vital on the court for the Pirate team was Elliotte Kahler with 28 assists, 2 aces, 5 digs, and 1 block. CJ Fykes recorded 10 kills, 1 assist, 4 aces, and 10 digs, and Meagan Baker amassed 6 kills, 1 ace, 1 dig, and 1 block for the Pirates. An integral part of the Pirate defense, Natalee Rogers, who also had 1 assist, led the team in digs with 20; and teammate Makena Rodriguez followed closely with 13 digs and 9 kills. Also contributing toward the successful night for the Pirates were Sommer Soderman - 1 kill, 3 digs; Khlieo Perez - 2 kills, 1 block; Alice Crean - 1 kill, 2 digs; Gaby Collazo - 2 aces; and Grace Griffeth - 1 kill.
