MS Girls Volleyball's Blue Team Stuns Imagine
On 9/26/23, the blue team for middle school volleyball hosted Imagine Schools at South Vero in the most anticipated and most competitive game of the season thus far. Although they were down in the first set 23-25, the Pirates mounted a comeback in the second set, winning 25-21 and forcing the game to three sets for the first time all season. In the third set, the Pirates went on a serving run and finished the game 15-7 in a hard-fought win. The team advances their season record 8-0.
Making a huge contribution for the PIrates, Margaret Fykes dished out 18 assists. The pressure at the net was immense with Grace Clemente and Nevin Waddell combining for 14 kills, and Avonti Jennings recorded 2 blocks, with one being for game game-ending win.
