Heartbreaker on the Road for Varsity Football
The varsity football team traveled to Boca Raton on 10/12/23 to take on Boca Raton Christian School in their last away game of the regular season. The Pirates maintained an early lead, 6-0, by the end of the 1st quarter and went into halftime ahead 12-6. The last half of the game remained close for the Pirates as they ultimately fell to the Blazers 26-28.
Quarterback Nate Sparkman threw 275 yards for the Pirates, including 4 touchdowns. Nicky Colontrelle and Sean Stalheber both caught 1 touchdown, and teammate Jaden Jackson caught 2 touchdowns. On defense, Amare McCoy led the team with 12 total tackles. In addition to 4 solo tackles, Gary Anderson also recorded a sack against the Blazers.
