Varsity Volleyball Stuns Greyhounds

On 10/12/23, the varsity volleyball team traveled to Lincoln Park Academy in Fort Pierce to take part in their last game of the regular season. The Pirates put up a fierce fight on the court, thwarting the Greyhounds in 5 hard-fought sets: 25-14, 25-18, 25-27, 16-25, 15-8.

Leading the charge for the Pirates were seniors Meagan Baker with 14 kills, 1 ace, 8 digs, and 4 blocks and Elliotte Kahler with 3 kills, 35 assists, 13 digs, and 1 block. Natalee Rogers made great saves for the Pirates, tallying 35 digs in addition to her 1 kill, 2 assists, and 1 ace. CJ Fykes tallied 10 kills, 2 assists, 1 ace, and 30 digs for the Pirate team, and teammate Makena Rodriguez collected 7 kills, 2 aces, and 26 digs. Sommer Soderman led the team in aces with 2 and also recorded 4 digs. Also contributing to the successful end of the regular season were Khlieo Perez with 3 kills and 4 digs and Alice Crean with 3 kills and 2 digs.
 
Next game is the Class 2A District 8 Semifinals on 10/17/23 versus Merritt Island Christian School, starting at 5:00 PM in the Gonzalez-Lobo Activities Center.
