Varsity Volleyball Secures Regional Semifinals Slot
The varsity volleyball team hosted The Geneva School on 10/24/23 for the Class 2A Region 2 Quarterfinal game. The Pirates overtook the court in the Gonzalez-Lobo Activities Center as they shut down the Knights in straight sets: 25-11, 25-14, 25-17.
Elliotte Kahler dominated the court for the Pirate team with 2 kills, 25 assists, 8 aces, and 9 digs. CJ Fykes held the Knights at bay with 8 kills, 1 ace, 1 assist, and 13 digs, and Alice Crean tallied 4 kills, 1 ace, 1 assist, 5 digs, and 1 block. Natalee Rogers, who also recorded 1 assist, led the team in digs with 15. Makena Rodriguez collected 8 kills and 10 digs for the Pirates, and Meagan Baker amassed 3 kills, 3 digs, and 1 block. Gaby Collazo netted 1 kill and 1 dig for the Pirates, and teammates Khlieo Perez and Grace Griffeth contributed 1 kill apiece.
