Last Race of Regular Season for Varsity Cross Country
The varsity boys and girls cross country teams took part in their last race of the regular season at the Sebastian River 30th Annual Invitational at Sebastian High School on 10/28/23. Despite both teams missing several athletes due to illness, the boys team placed 7th overall, and the girls team secured a 3rd place finish.
Jack Curley led the boys team with a personal record time of 18:49 for an individual 3rd place finish. Teammate Thomas Leonard finished in a time of 20:17 to nab his 20th place finish.
The girls team was led by Elizabeth Campbell, who crushed her previous personal record with almost a 2 minute drop in time at 23:59 and finished in 9th place individually. Rounding out the scoring for the girls team was Sienna Mallon (28th place), Tyler Colgan (29th place), Isabella Peter (33rd place, and Alexandra Perrin (39th place) in a field of 75 runners.
