MS Boys Basketball's Blue Team Stuns Patriots

On 11/13/23, the middle school boys basketball's blue team hosted the Master's Academy of Vero Patriots for game 2 of their season. The Pirate team played aggressive defense and ran a patient offense to secure the lead by the end of the first quarter. The contest remained close throughout, but the unwavering Pirates never trailed after the first 3 minutes of the game. The blue team emerged as the victors of the game with a 36-31 final score, to improve to 2-0 for the season.

Early scoring from Bobby Varricchio, who tallied 9 points overall for the Pirates, as well as teammates Reid Morris (6 points) and Trip Williams (4 points), helped pace the team. Syrus Cooper and Kayleb Redmon, each with 6 points, along with teammate Morris controlled the tenacious defense with solid rebounding and steals. Chris Curley, who recorded 5 points, hit 2 shots at critical moments in the game.
 
Next game is at home on 11/14/23 versus Saint Helen's School, starting at 4:15 PM in the Wachter Activities Center.
