Varsity Girls Basketball Powers Past Pineapple Cove
The varsity girls basketball team traveled to Palm Bay on 12/6/23 to take on Pineapple Cove Classical Academy. Sommer Soderman sank an impressive 3-point basket in the 1st quarter, which helped propel the Pirates to a 12-3 lead by the quarter's end. Maintaining a 9-point lead at halftime, the Pirates kept the pressure on in the second half and finished the game strong to win 47-22 over the Patriots.
Soderman and Gaby Collazo led the Pirates on the scoreboard with 11 points each. Chase Nelson followed closely with 10. Avonti Jennings sank 6 points, and Shaniya Bryant netted 4. Dhanika Perez collected 3 points in the PIrate victory, and teammate Caitlin Moscrip recorded 2.
