MS Boys Basketball's Blue Team Hosts SRMS
On 12/11/23, the blue team for middle school boys basketball faced off at home against Sebastian River Middle School in the Wachter Activities Center. The PIrates jumped out to an early 7-0 lead in the 1st quarter before falling behind during a strong scoring run by the Cowboys. Despite ending the half at 14-25, the Pirates regrouped in the 2nd half to cut the lead to 4 points, thanks to a few 3-pointers by Bobby Varricchio. Despite their best efforts on the courts, the Pirates were defeated by the Cowboys 36-44.
Varricchio led the Pirate team on the floor with 13 points. Syrus Cooper recorded 7 points in the matchup, and Reid Morris netted 6. Trip Williams brought 5 points for the Pirates. Dylan Colontrelle collected 4 points, and Kayleb Redmon added 1.
