Varsity Girls Basketball Topples Titans
On 12/12/23, the varsity girls basketball team traveled to Palm Bay to take on the Odyssey Charter School Titans. In their best shooting night of the season, the Pirates came together as a team to systematically shut down their opponents on both the offensive and defensive ends. The Pirates finished the first half leading 35-14 and never looked back. The Pirate team finished the game strong against the Titans, claiming their 59-38 victory.
Gaby Collazo led the Pirates on the scoreboard with 15 points, followed closely by teammates Dhanika Perez and Chase Nelson who tallied 14 points each. Sommer Soderman and Avonti Jennings netted 6 points apiece. Shaniya Bryant and Meagan Baker chipped in 2 points each in the Pirates' successful night.
