Varsity Boys Soccer Nabs District Semifinals Victory with PKs
The varsity boys soccer team hosted the Class 2A District 8 Semifinals versus Pineapple Cove Classical Academy on 1/27/24 at Pirate Stadium. The Pirates and the Patriots put up a fierce fight on the pitch, with both teams ending regulation scoreless. The Pirates emerged as the ultimate victors in a penalty kick shoot-out, netting 6 kicks to the Patriots' 5 and ensuring their advancement to the Finals.
Successfully netting penalty kick goals for the Pirates were Pato Argote, William Kourakis, Bobby Campbell, Marlon Dato-Slattery, Rory Barton, and Reid Durham. Keeper Keegan Nyman stopped 2 of the Patriots' attempts at goal to help secure the Pirates' win.
