On the Road Victory in Last Game of Regular Season for Varsity Girls Basketball

The varsity girls basketball team traveled to Melbourne to take on West Shore High School in their last game of the regular season. The Pirates grabbed an early 7-0 lead and closed the 1st quarter 13-9. Keeping the pressure on in the 2nd quarter, the Pirates stayed ahead 31-18 at halftime. The Pirates preserved over the Wildcats to finish the game with a 56-37 victory.

Dhanika Perez led the scoreboard for the Pirate team with 17 points. Chase Nelson netted 12, and Gaby Collazo put up 10. Avonti Jennings sank 5 points, and teammates Meagan Baker and Caitlin Moscrip recorded 4 each. Sommer Soderman and Halle Grella rounded out the successful night for the Pirates with 2 points apiece.
Next game is the 2A District 13 Semifinals at Morningside Academy in Port St. Lucie, starting at 4:00 PM.
