Thrilling Season Opener Against Storm Grove for MS Girls Lacrosse
The middle school girls lacrosse team opened their season at home on 2/27/24 against Storm Grove Middle School. The Pirates took an early lead over the Stingrays and never looked back, defeating their opponent 5-4 in quite the thrilling matchup.
Gertie Busch-Dunford and Grace Clemente led the scoreboard for the Pirates with 2 goals, and Anastasia Headley sank an exciting goal for the team. At goal, Abbey Carter was hard at work, making many magnificent saves and stops for the Pirates. Leading the defensive charge of the Pirates, Alice Cochrane proved vital on defense, taking control of the ball and preventing field opportunities for the Stingrays.
