Varsity Track & Field Takes Part in Jensen Beach Open
The varsity track and field team traveled to Jensen Beach on 2/28/24 for their first full-squad meet of the year against 12 other schools.
For the girls team, Elizabeth Campbell secured a 2nd place finish in the 400m at 1:01.79, surpassing the previously set school record for the event. Campbell also finished 8th in the 800m. Meagan Baker finished 3rd in Discus with a new school record of 24.67m and placed 6th in Shot Put with 8.52m, which is a new school record as well.
For the boys team, Jack Curley broke the school record for Javelin with his throw of 28.70m. Teammate Matthew Cocks placed a new school record as well with his 20.25m Discus throw.
