Varsity Track & Field Exhibits Solid Performance at Benjamin Meet

The varsity track and field team traveled to Palm Beach Gardens on 3/2/24 to participate in a meet at the Benjamin School. Both the boys and girls teams finished the meet in 5th place overall.

For the girls team, Elizabeth Campbell celebrated a 1st place finish in the 1600m and a 2nd place finish in the 3200m. Meagan Baker set a personal record and broke her own school record with her 3rd place Discus throw. She also finished 4th in Shot Put. Jacquelyn Perrin finished an impressive 3rd place in the 400m Hurdles and 6th place in the 1600m. Riley Wilkerson captured 5th place in the 100m Hurdles. Adterria Holloway recorded a 7th place finish in the Long Jump, and teammate Marlo Wilkerson set a personal record in the Long Jump. In the girls relay event, the team of M. Wilkerson, Kamara Simon, Audrey Elliott, and Milani Perez recorded a 3rd place finish in the 4x100m.

For the boys team, Jack Curley finished 3rd in the 3200m and broke a personal record with his Javelin throw. Jamin Dunham finished 8th in the 3200 m, and Dean Sincavage set a personal record in Javelin. In the boys relay event, the Pirates' 4x800m team, consisting of Dunham, Aneesh Chalasani, Christian Peter, and Hartley Postlethwaite, secured a 4th place finish and set a school record.
 
Next meet is away on 3/4/24 at the MCHS Tigers Relay, starting at 4:00 PM at Martin County High School in Port St. Lucie.
