Varsity Track & Field Competes in Relay-Only Meet at MCHS
The varsity track and field team traveled to Martin County High School in Stuart on 3/4/24 to compete in the MCHS Tigers Relay, a relay-only track competition. The Pirates put together relay performances at the event that set and broke multiple school records.
For the boys team, new school records were set in the 4x800m Relay by Jamin Dunham, Trey Donohoe, Aneesh Chalasani, and Jack Curley with their time of 11:00; in the 4x400 m Relay by Curley, Matthew Cocks, Dean Sincavage, and Chalasani with their time of 4:30; and in the 4000m Distance Medley Relay by Dunham, Cocks, Sincavage, and Curley with their time of 13:24.
The 4x800m Relay school record from 2023 was broken at this event with a finishing time of 11:40 by teammates Mia Perez, Jacquelyn Perrin and Elizabeth Campbell. The 2023 800m Spring Relay school record from 2023 fell to the girls relay team consisting of Milani Perez, Riley Wilkerson, Adterria Holloway and Perrin, who clocked the new record of 2:11.83.
