Varsity Baseball Takes on Calvary Chapel Academy

The varsity baseball team traveled to Fred Poppe Regional Park in Palm Bay on 3/1/24 to go up against the Calvary Chapel Academy Eagles. The Pirates jumped out to an exciting early 9-6 lead against the Eagles but were unable to hold it and lost to the Eagles 9-19.

Partick Gross started the game on the mound for the Pirate team, pitching 2 innings and surrendering only 6 runs. Also pitching for the Pirates were Trey Dunlap and Jaden Jackson.

The Pirate offense was led by Reid Morris with 2 hits, 3 RBIs, and 2 runs. Graham Hutton collected 2 hits and 3 runs, and Gross recorded 1 hit and 1 RBI. Jackson contributed 1 hit and 3 RBIs, and Will Fernandez added 1 hit and 2 runs. Trey Dunlap saw 1 hit and 1 run for the Pirate team. Noah Hernandez put up 1 hit, and Zavier Solano scored 1 run. Jacob Arbelaez also had 1 RBI for the Pirates.
Next game is away on 3/21/24 versus the Brevard HEAT, starting at 6:00 PM at the Fred Poppe Regional Park in Palm Bay.
