Varsity Track & Field Makes Strides at Cobra Relay

The varsity track and field team competed in the Cobra Relays hosted by Fort Pierce Central High School at Lawnwood Stadium in Fort Pierce on 3/25/24. The girls team finished 3rd overall, and the boys team finished 6th.

For the boys team, Matthew Cocks broke his own school record in Discus with a 23.25m throw.

For the girls team, Meagan Baker recorded 2nd place finishes in both the Shot Put and Discus. Riley Wilkerson placed 7th in the Long Jump with a 4:.8m, hitting a personal record. Marlo Wilkerson jumped 3.80m to set a new personal record in the Long Jump.

In relay events, the girls 4x800 Relay team of Elizabeth Campbell, Mia Perez, and Jacquelyn Perrin crushed the school record with 11:26.11 to capture a 1st place finish. The 4000m Distance Medley Relay team, consisting of Perrin, Perez, and Campbell clinched a 1st place victory with their time of 14:48.11 and broke the school record as well.
 
Next meet is away on 3/27/24 at South Fork High School in Stuart, starting at 4:00 PM.
