Varsity Baseball Hits the Road to Compete Against Berean Christian

On 4/4/24, the varsity baseball team traveled to the Seminole Palms Sports Complex in Royal Palm Beach to take on the Berean Christian Bulldogs. The Pirates played a competitive first inning, trailing only 2-1, and shut out the Bulldogs in the 4th inning. Despite their best efforts, the Pirates lost to the Bulldogs 3-13.

Trey Dunlap made the most of his time at bat and scored 2 runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2, and Reid Morris led the Pirates in stolen bases with 2 and grabbed 2 hits, 1 RBI, and a double. Graham Hutton collected 1 run and 1 hit for the Pirates, and Jaden Jackson recorded 1 hit, 2 RBIs, and 1 stolen base.

Morris pitched 2.2 innings for the Pirates and collected 5 strikeouts. Patrick Gross pitched 1.2 innings, allowing only 2 hits and 3 runs and striking out 4 batters. The Pirates' fielding stats include Hutton with 9 putouts, Dunlap with 2, Jackson with 1, and Morris with 1.
