Varsity Boys Lacrosse Snags Double Overtime Win over Hawks

On 4/2/24, the varsity boys lacrosse team took on the Viera High School Hawks on the Michael J. Mersky Field for Senior Night. The competitive matchup remained close throughout the game, with the Pirates and their opponents seeing the game through to a double overtime. The Pirates remained the victors of the day, winning the game 14-13.

Connor O'Brien led the Pirates on the field with 4 goals, and Reed Sternberg provided 3 goals and 2 assists. Harrison Hardin netted 2 goals and 1 assist toward the victory. Collecting 1 goal and 1 assist each were Behr Nyman, Will Russell, and Brady McCoy. Also adding 1 goal apiece were Keegan Nyman and Chris Campbell. K. Nyman won 24 of his 29 faceoff attempts and led the team in ground balls with 8. At goal, Edwin Provancher made 8 saves.

On-the-field stats for the Pirate team include 20 ground balls, 29 shots on goal, and 26 faceoff wins.
