    Students Inducted Into the Thespian Society

    Congratulations to Athena Collaros, Madison Dube (in absentia), Ivy Engel, Valentina Henriquez (in absentia), Brody Kreiger, Nicholas Leal, Alex Mira (in absentia), Isabella Peter (in absentia) and Ariel Sochaczevski, who were recently honored in the recent Thespian Induction Ceremony presented by Mr. and Mrs. Baker along with student leaders Savannah Brown '25 and Sophia Cetrulo '26.

    To earn this honor, students must either participate in International Thespian Society competitions or contribute to both school theatre productions within the academic year. These dedicated individuals excelled in a variety of roles on stage, behind the scenes, in the tech booth or in set design and construction, showcasing their passion and commitment to the performing arts. The ceremony featured a heartwarming photo presentation, followed by a festive luncheon in honor of their achievements. Bravo to our newest SES Thespians!

    MS/US Spring Choral Concert

    Join our talented middle and upper school choir students for their spring concert, A Musical Kaleidoscope, on Thursday, April 24, at 6:30 p.m. in the Waxlax Center for the Performing Arts. This vibrant performance will take you on a journey through a colorful mix of musical eras and genres, featuring crowd favorites like This Is Me from The Greatest Showman, Under Pressure by Queen and powerful traditional spirituals like Ride On King Jesus.

    Special thanks to Ms. Esposito for her inspiring direction of the choirs and to Ms. Raymond’s Art I students for their stunning cover artwork that perfectly captures the spirit of the evening.

    Standing Ovation for Our Thespians at State

    Standing Ovation for Our Thespians at State

    Our talented Theatre Department recently traveled to the State Thespian Competition in Tampa, bringing home top honors and unforgettable experiences. Under the guidance of Mr. and Mrs. Baker, our students delivered incredible performances, pushing themselves to new heights.

    Jack Engel earned a Superior rating for monologues, while the ensemble of Cavanaugh Corrie, Jack Engel, Ivy Engel and Brody Kreiger also received a Superior for their ensemble acting performance. Savannah Brown and Lily Browning both shined in the solo musical category, each earning an Excellent rating.

    “Every one of the students did an incredible job and found new levels to their performances. We are so very proud of them!” said Mr. Baker, reflecting on their success.

    Beyond the competition, students immersed themselves in workshops, one-act plays and full-length productions, making the most of this exciting experience. Congratulations to our amazing thespians for their dedication and achievements!
