Varsity Boys Lacrosse Stuns Vero Beach HS
On 2/28/23, the varsity boys lacrosse team hosted Vero Beach High School on the Michael J. Mersky Field. The Pirates never wavered in their determination and soundly defeated the Indians 16-3.
Leading the Pirates on the scoreboard was Ricky Savage with 3 goals, followed closely by teammates Reed Sternberg and Will Russell who collected 2 goals and 2 assists each. Connor O'Brien and Ford Norris were integral to the victory, with each contributing 1 goal and 3 assists. Luke Herrman, Eli Barin and Harrison Hardin contributed greatly to the win with 2 goals apiece. Dylan Redmon also added 1 goal during the successful night for the Pirates. Kieran Colgan helped keep Vero Beach at bay with his 9 saves on 12 shots on goal.
On the field stats for the Pirate team include 20 ground balls and 12 faceoff wins.
